In 1942 the City of Shiner donated its WWI Cannon to the Scrap Iron Drive for WWII. In 1976 as part of the Bi-Centennial celebration the US Government donated to the city this piece of artillery.
There is a marble monument in front of the artillery but it does not give any information on this piece of equipment.
