EN: The Klaus Fountain is located on the Metzgplatz in the east of the old town of Lenzburg. The fountain dates back to 1572, the basin is hexagonal, the fountain column is painted and decorated with cherubs. Atop In the column stands a life-size figure of a warrior in golden armor. He bears a banner and a shield, both of which are decorated with the coat of arms of Lenzburg.
When I was there, the basin was decorated with chairs(!) and plants due to an event.
DE: Der Klausbrunnen befindet sich auf dem Metzgplatz im Osten der Altstadt von Lenzburg. Der Brunnen stammt aus dem Jahr 1572, der Trog ist sechseckig, die Brunnensäule ist bemalt und mit Putten geschmückt. Auf der Säule steht eine lebensgrosse Figur eines Kriegers in goldener Rüstung. Er trägt eine Fahne und ein Schild, die beide mit dem Stadtwappen von Lenzburg verziert sind.
Als ich da war, war der Brunnentrog wegen eines Anlasses mit Stühlen(!) und Pflanzen geschmückt.
