"Das Adenbachtor (auch "Winzertor" oder "Marientor" genannt), das nördliche und kleinste der vier Stadttore von Ahrweiler, ist nach St. Maria, der Schutzpatronin der Oberhut Ahrweiler, benannt. Der aus Bruchsteinen gemauerte innen offene Wachturm mit spitzbogigem Tordurchgang sowie mit Blende aus Drachenfelser Trachyt wurde, wie die Stadtmauer Ahrweiler insgesamt, im 13./14. Jahrhundert erbaut. Das Tor ist mit einem Fallgitterschlitz ausgestattet. Die Torflügel samt Andreaskreuz und Schlusspförtchen stammen aus dem 16./17. Jahrhundert. Der Oberbau des Tores brannte beim großen Stadtbrand von Ahrweiler am 1. Mai 1698 ab. Im Zuge einer Sanierung wurde er erst im Jahr 1974 nach historischer Vorlage wieder aufgebaut. "
