Two allied airmen were killed when their bomber crashed during their mission.
The mission was on January 11 1944 and the goal was to bomb Oschersleben in Germany but they are here crashed in a pasture.
I do not know whether they were on the outward or return journey.

The plaque reads:
In this environment, plunged down an allied bomber.

(S/Sgt.) James G. Farrell, 22 years old, United States
(1 Lt.) Richard H. Sperry, 29 years old, United States

Both airmen were from 92nd Bomb Group/326th Bomb Squadron.
