EN: The Drautal line - like this railway line is called today - is an east-west rail link along the Drava. It ranges from Maribor (Marburg a. D. Drava, following the old southern runway) to Innichen, where it merges into the Pustertal train to Franzensfeste. It thus takes in northern Slovenia its beginning, crosses Carinthia and East Tyrol and ends in South Tyrol. The track part Klagenfurt Bleiburg will be expanded as part of Koralmbahn that follows lead stronghold of Jauntalbahn. This stretch is, just like the rest of Slovenia, single track and not electrified.
The station is indeed Völkermarkt-Kühnsdorf, but can not be called a direct railway connection therewith. Völkermarkt thus is the only district town in Austria, which has never had a railway connection. Originally was very well thought in the planning of the railway in the 1860s because international market to open up directly.
