Blasterz are always fascinated to see these Berlin Wall fragments. They are such an indictment of totalitarianism, and a chilling reminder of how quickly despotic governments can extinguish human rights.
The front (western side) is always covered with graffiti -- and the back side (eastern side) is absolutely blank.
This panel of the Berlin Wall came from near the Brandenburg Gate, made famous in the 20th century as a gateway between East and West Germany. The graffito of a screaming person exhorting the viewer to "Change your life" was made by the graffiti artist Indiano.
This panel has been on display at the Imperial War Museum in the London borough of Southwark since 1991.
