" Raymond August Hasenjaeger, son of Florence and Helena Hasenjaeger (nee Krone), was born December 21, 1911 in Warren County, Missouri, near Marthasville.
On February 14, 1912 he was baptized by Rev. F. Egger and on October Z20, 1924 was con firmed in St. Paul's Evangelical Church at Marthasville by Rev. Louis F. Kurz. He was united in marriage with Miss Alberta Schoppenhorst August 15, 1955 at Holstein by Rev. Erie Pfundt and they established their home on a farm near Wright City. After living there for a year they moved to Hopewell where they lived until 1964 when they moved to the present home in Warrenton. He was a member of Immanuel's Church at Holstein most of his life, and served on the church council for three years. In September, 1965, he transferred his membership to Friedens Church in Warrenton. On May 12, 1966 he entered into rest at his home in Warrenton at (the age of 64 years, four months and 21 days. He was preceded in death by his father, and is survived by his devoted wife, Alberta, (two sons, Delvin of Marthasville and Ray Albert of Hopkins, Mo., his mother, Mrs. Helena Hasenjaeger, three grandchildren. Allan, Patricia and Darrell; a daughter - in - law, uuiu May; one brother, Hugo Hasenjaeger of Marthasville, one sister, Louella (Mrs. Ben Luecke) of Warrenton; three brothers-in-law, three sisters-an-law, a mother- in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mr. Hasenjaeger was in state at the Nieburg Funeral Home in Warrenton, and funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 14, at 2 p.m. at Immanuel's Church in Holstein by Rev. W. W. Kramme and Rev. August L. Brueggemann. Randy Kruetrer was the vocalist and Grace Kersten was the organist. Interment was made in the church cemetery." ~ Marthasville Record, Friday, May 20, 1966, page 1

"Alberta Anna Carolina Hasenjaeger, nee Schoppenhorst, 88, Marthasville, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at the Warrenton Nursing and Rehab, Warrenton. Mrs. Hasenjaeger was born July 13, 1914, in Warren County, the daughter of Albert H. Schoppenhorst and wife Emma H., neeSprick. She was baptized Aug. 12, 1914, in Lippstadt. Mrs. Hasenjaeger was confirmed April 1, 1928, at Immanuels United Church of Christ, Holstein, by the Rev. F. Egger. She was united in marriage to Raymond August Hasenjaeger Aug.15, 1935, in Holstein, by the Rev. Eric Pfundt. They lived on a farm near Wright City for a year then moved to Hopewell. They lived there until 1964 when they moved to Warrenton. Mrs. Hasenjaeger was a nurses aide at the Katie Jane Nursing Home. After her husband died, she moved to Charrette Apartments in Marthasville in 1976 and then to Washington Residential Care in 1988. In February 1991, she moved to Warrenton Nursing and Rehab in Warrenton.Mrs. Hasenjaeger was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Marthasville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather; her husband, Raymond, May 12,1966; one sister, Flora Mertens Engemann on Dec. 11, 2002. Mrs. Hasenjaeger is survived by two sons, Delvin Hasenjaeger and wife Lulu, Marthasville, and Ray Hasenjaeger and wife Golda, Edina; one brother, Erwin Schoppenhorst, Williamsburg; four grandchildren, Allan, Darrell, Bradley and Patty; eight great-grandchildren, Janna, Katie, Adam, Abbie, Luke,Erick, Briaand Sawyer; two step grandchildren, Ron and Jan; step great-and great-greatgrandchildren; one sister-in-law, Louella Luecke; one brother-in-law, Clarence Engemann; nieces; nephews; cousins;other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 8, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Marthasville, with the Rev. Don Deeker officiating. Interment was in the Immanuels United Church of Christ Cemetery,Holstein. Memorials to the St. Paul's UCC Memorial Fund or to the Immanuels UCC Cemetery at Holstein Fund in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main, Warrenton, MO 63383, are preferred.
