Red Beds Trail
The red stone of the Spearfish Formation is the oldest geologic layer visible in the park, dating back more then 300 million years.

If you are quiet on your trip around the tower you may spot many wildlife species; birds, deer, and more.

Attention to the sparse plants & trees, which are hardy and how they thrive in the unforgiving place.
