"SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – A man on a bicycle who was hit by a train Friday morning in San Jose has died, Caltrain officials said.

At about 8 a.m. northbound Caltrain No. 329 hit a man at the West Virginia Street railroad crossing. The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, Caltrain spokeswoman Tasha Bartholomew said.

Transit police confirmed at 9:25 a.m. that the 54-year-old male bicyclist has died from his injuries. Transit police are still investigating the early morning strike." (visit link)
