Die Eingangsfront hinterlässt ebenfalls einen unvergesslichen Eindruck. Vier halbrund angelegte Treppenstufen führen zum Portal, von mächtigen Säulen eingerahmt und sehr viel Ähnlichkeit mit dem Eingang der Genovevaburg, der von Ravensteyn gestaltet wurde.
Das Stadtwappen oberhalb des Eingangs, darüber, der durch Konsolen gehaltene Balkon mit wunderschöner Brüstung. In Dachgeschoßhöhe hebt sich der viereckige Uhrturm mit seinem achteckigen Aufbau und hohen Schallöffnungen aus dem mit Schiefer gedecktem Walmdach hervor.
Blickfang dieser Seite des Alten Rathauses ist das kunstvoll gestaltete Ziffernblatt der Rathausuhr.
Heute ist das Alte Rathaus Sitz der Tourist-Information der Stadt.
