[DE] Die evangelische Kirche St. Bartolomäus in Dornum wurde von 1270-1290 aus Backsteinen erbaut. Neben der Funktion als Gotteshaus diente die Kirch auch als Zufluchsort bei Sturmflut, da die Kirche auf einem ca. 8 m hohen Hügel steht.
In der Kirche befindet sich ein der größten Orgeln Norddeutschlands. Die Orgel datiert auf das Jahr 1711.


[EN] This protestant church named St. Bartolomäus, located in Dorum, Lower Saxony, Germnay, was build between 1270 and 1290. The main building material are bricks. Besides being a church, the building also served as a rescue point for people while storm floods of the North Sea, as the church is located on an approx. 8 meters high hill.
Inside the church one of the largest pipe organs of northern Germany can be found. The organ dates back to 1711.
