"Vorläufig hatte die Kapelle nur eine Glocke; bald aber begannen die Walporzheimer Einwohner Johann Paffenholz und Jakob Koch die Beschaffung einer neuen Glocke durch Sammlungen im Ort und der näheren Umgebung zu fördern. Im Jahre 1747 sahen sie ihr gutes Werk mit Erfolg gekrönt; eine größere neue Glocke war fertig gestellt und wurde vorläufig zum Kloster auf dem Kalvarienberg gebracht, wo am 6. März die feierliche Weihe stattfand. "
"Aus einer reichen Spende des Winzervereins und anderen milden Zuwendungen konnten weitere Anschaffungen gemacht werden. Als Ersatz für die im Weltkrieg geopferte Glocke wurde eine neue dem Hl. Sebastianus gewidmet, eine andere dem Hl. Joseph, zum Andenken an das 50jährige Jubelfest des Walporzheimer Winzervereins. Am St. Josephstag, 19. März 1923, konnten beide Glocken feierlich geweiht werden"
