As described by the Coast and Geodetic Survey ("CGS") back in 1953:
"AT BANDERA, AT THE COURTHOUSE, 2.5 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE SOUTH CORNER OF THE BUILDING, SET VERTICALLY IN THE SOUTHWEST WALL OF THE
COURTHOUSE."
The 1953 description and associated reference points (i.e. distances/directions) are still good references for locating this station.
Its associated NGS Data Sheet's currently posted coordinates are, however, still a bit off (as is to be expected, it happens all the time with older benchmarks). As of the time of this waymark posting, the NGS reported the station at "N 29 43 35.8 W 099 04 22.1" which points to a tree approximately 70 ft West of the benchmark in question. The actual coords -- as measured within 15' accuracy and 20+ reading averages -- are "N 29° 43.594 W 99° 4.355".
