EN: The Hofstetter Matte with the way up through the Kehlengraben Gorge is a popular destination. But this meadow with the playground and the many fireplaces lies inside the forest and has no views to offer. For a good distance view, the hike up to Blauenpass is well worth the effort. After the restaurant Bergmatte, which can also be reached by car, the path leads through a steep pasture, where you can enjoy a great view over the southern Alsace. The most striking point in the foreground is the Landskron Castle, behind the plain with some villages as Hagenthal-le-Haut and Hagenthal-le-Bas. In the background you can see the Vosges Mountains on the horizon. The highest point of the hike, Blauenpass, is again in the woods and has no distance view to offer.

DE: Die Hofstetter Matte mit dem Aufstieg durch die Kehlengrabenschlucht ist ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel. Die Wiese mit dem Spielplatz und den vielen Feuerstellen liegt aber im Wald und hat an Aussicht nichts zu bieten. Für eine gute Fernsicht lohnt sich der Weg hoch zum Blauenpass. Nach dem Restaurant Bergmatte, das auch mit dem Auto zu erreichen ist, führt der Weg über eine steile Weide, wo man eine grossartige Aussicht über das südliche Elsass geniessen kann. Der markanteste Punkt im Vordergrund ist die Burgruine Landskron, dahinter die Ebene mit einigen Dörfern, wie Hagenthal-le-Haut und Hagenthal-le-Bas. Im Hintergrund sieht mann die Bergkette der Vogesen am Horizont. Der höchste Punkt der Wanderung, der Blauenpass liegt wieder im Wald und bietet keine Aussicht.
