There are two churches in Bradenham reflecting the wealth of this part of Norfolk in the C14th, this one, dedicated to St.Andrew is at the north-east of the village on the road out of the ford towards the hamlet of West End.

The mark can be found on the north face of the easternmost buttress of the chancel, it's slightly worn but easily seen. Last verified in 1959 it's 0.7m above ground level and was measured as being 59.787m above the Newlyn datum.
