The sign itself depicts the surrounding landscape. The sign is accompanied by a variety of inoperable machinery, which could be considered junk art. There is also a wooden bridge with planes suspended above it, and a gold eagle.
This is truly a small town, only 1.5 sq miles. It is home to 1650 people. The surrounding area is grassland. The highest point in ND is nearby.
