In Windsor, on the northerly peak of Mt. Ascutney, is this benchmark, known as 'Ascutney Reset.'

The benchmark is at a path junction. The description from the NGS Datasheet is as follows:

"THE STATION WAS RE-MARKED WITH A STANDARD STATION DISK, AFTER
REMOVING THE EAST BOLT OF THE 2 (THIS WAS COPPER BOLT 3 INCHES
LONG), AND 2 REFERENCE MARKS WERE SET. A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION
FOLLOWS--

STATION IS LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST END OF THE LONG SUMMIT RIDGE
OF ASCUTNEY MTN., AT THE FORK OF WINDSOR TRAIL AND BROWNSVILLE
TRAIL, BY THE REMAINS OF AN OLD STONE HUT, AND ABOUT 1,400 FEET
NORTHEAST OF THE ASCUTNEY MTN. FIRE TOWER, WHICH HAS AN UNSTAMPED
USGS DISK SET AT CENTER OF BASE OF TOWER.

TO REACH STATION FROM THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAYS 12 AND 131 IN
ASCUTNEY, GO NORTH ON HIGHWAY 12 FOR 1.2 MILES. TAKE LEFT FORK
AND GO 1.1 MILES TO ASCUTNEY PARK GATE ON LEFT. PASS THROUGH GATE
AND FOLLOW PARK DRIVEWAY 3.7 MILES TO END OF ROAD. PACK NORTHERLY
ON GOOD TRAIL ABOUT 1/2-MILE TO SADDLE OF RIDGE, AND FORK AT SIGN
STONE HUT. TAKE RIGHT FORK ABOUT 200 YARDS TO OLD STONE
BUILDING REMAINS AND STATION.

STATION MARK IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED ASCUTNEY 1873 1971, CEMENTED
IN A DRILL HOLE AT EAST SIDE OF A 6-INCH, CHISELED TRIANGLE IN
NORTHEAST END OF LONG BEDROCK LEDGE, 18 FEET SOUTHEAST OF WINDSOR
TRAIL AND 28.5 FEET EAST-NORTHEAST OF NORTHEAST CORNER OF STONE
HUT. NOTE--THE DISK COVERS THE ORIGINAL IRON BOLT IN CENTER OF THE
TRIANGLE, BUT THE OUTLINE OF THE TRIANGLE IS VISIBLE.

REFERENCE MARK NUMBER ONE IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED ASCUTNEY 1873
NO 1 1971, CEMENTED IN A DRILL HOLE IN BEDROCK LEDGE, ABOUT 1-1/2
FEET LOWER THAN STATION MARK.

REFERENCE MARK NUMBER TWO IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED ASCUTNEY 1873
NO 2 1971, CEMENTED IN A DRILL HOLE IN BEDROCK LEDGE AT EAST EDGE
OF WINDSOR TRAIL, PROJECTING 2 FEET FROM GROUND.

NOTE--STATION IS IN DENSE FIR TREES AND A FAIRLY RECENT SWATH HAS
BEEN CLEARED ON AZIMUTH OF 213 DEGREES."

I was able to recover the main mark and the two reference marks in rocks nearby.
