Bei dieser Sturmflut brachen die Deiche an mehreren Stellen und das Meer floss bis in die Innenstadt.

Die Februarflut 1825 traf die gesamte Nordseeküste vom 2. bis 4. Februar 1825. Auch Dänemark und die Niederlande waren betroffen. Ca. 800 Menschen starben.
