[DE] "Ein Schloß am Wörthersee war eine 34-teilige deutsch-österreichische Fernsehserie, die zwischen 1990 und 1992 von Lisa Film für RTL produziert wurde.
Gedreht wurde am Schloss Velden.
Einige Szenen waren Hommagen aus Schlagerfilmen der 1960er und 70er Jahre.
In insgesamt drei Folgen der zweiten und dritten Staffel tritt Hansi Kraus als Gaststar auf. Er spielt die Rolle des Pepe Nietnagel, die bereits aus der siebenteiligen Filmreihe Die Lümmel von der ersten Bank (1967–1972) bekannt ist. Aus dem einst frechen Schüler ist nun ein Kaplan geworden, der aushilfsweise selbst Schüler eines Gymnasiums unterrichtet. Die „Lümmel“-Filmreihe und Ein Schloß am Wörthersee spielen damit im selben Serienuniversum.
Nach der zweiten Staffel verstarb der Hauptdarsteller Roy Black, weshalb Uschi Glas die Hauptrolle übernahm.
Erstausgestrahlt wurde die Serie vom Kölner Privatsender RTL plus. Wiederholungen folgten bei Super RTL, tm3 sowie in verschiedenen Programmen der ARD (Das Erste und diverse Dritte Programme).
Die letzten gedrehten Szenen waren jene der 19. Folge "Ein Glatzkopf kommt selten allein" in Verona.
Produzent Karl Spiehs ist mehrfach in Minirollen zu sehen: einmal in "Der Speck muss weg" am Ende der Folge als Landstreicher mit einem Schild "Letzter Bettler vor der Autobahn", einmal in "Ein reizendes Kerlchen" als Gesprächspartner von Roy Black, der ihn auch als "Herr Spiehs" anspricht und einmal in "Ein Glatzkopf kommt selten allein" als Mann am Spieltisch neben Telly Savalas. In "Rendezvous am Wörthersee" gibt es ein "Carl Spiehs"-Gymnasium (das umfunktionierte Viktringer Gymnasium).
Die Szenen vor dem Reisebüro Springer wurden am Villacher Hans-Gasser-Platz gedreht. Eigentlich befindet sich in diesem Gebäude eine Filiale der Bank Austria. Eine echte Springer-Filiale ist nur etwa 60 Meter entfernt.
Die Szenen mit dem verunglückten Ballon in "Ein reizendes Kerlchen" wurden am Dobratsch bei Villach gedreht (Südwand).
Autor Erich Tomek ist in der 1. Staffel als Kellner im Karner Hof zu sehen.
Die Serie wurde in mehr als 40 Länder verkauft, darunter Südafrika und China. Der internationale Titel war "Lakeside Hotel".
Die erste Folge verfolgten in Österreich rund 2 Millionen, in Deutschland rund 7 Millionen Zuseher."

In a total of three episodes of the second and third season Hansi Kraus occurs as a guest star. In "Rendezvous am Wörthersee" there is a "Carl Spiehs" -Gymnasium (the repurposed Viktringer Gymnasium).
The scenes before the travel agency Springer were filmed at Villach Hans-Gasser-Platz. Actually located in this building a branch of Bank Austria. A real Springer-office is only about 60 meters away.
The scenes with the crashed balloon in "A lovely guy" were on Dobratsch in Villach rotated (south wall).
Author Erich Tomek be seen in season 1 as a waiter in Karner Hof.
