The 'Jewish monument' in Dalen is a boulder with plaque.
The boulder stands in front of a fence with two Stars of David.
Behind the fence there is the former Jewish cemetery.
The 'Jewish monument' was founded in Dalen commemorating thirteen Jewish citizens who were deported by the Germans during World War II and killed.
The names of the thirteen victims read:
Eva Bierman-Nijveen, David J. Bierman, Simon Bierman, Izaäk Jonas Bierman, Frouwke Bierman-Bollegraaf, Jonas Bierman, Henderina Bierman, Eva Bierman, Isaac Bierman, Betje Zilverberg, Hartog Zilverberg, Jacob Zilverberg en Suzanna Zilverberg-ten Brink.
Three Jews of Dalen survived the occupation in hiding, namely: David Bierman, Jet Bierman and Suze Zilverberg.
The monument was unveiled in 1997. At the request of some residents of the municipality Dalen said that year also money was available for the renovation of the Jewish cemetery.
