The building sits in downtown Ione and house the police and city hall. The building is one floor with shingled roof. The windows are arched on top. The facade is a mix of bare bricks and plaster painted white. There's a clock over the entrance to the building.

Full Inscription (unless noted above): Originally built as the three story commercial hotel in 1864, razed by fire and re-built as a one story building in 1930. Remodeled in 1966 by the City of Ione as its City Hall.
