The pub has one sign hanging from the north face of the building but, apart from the name, it is hard to see what is on it due to it having faded. On the side of the building, in Foundry Lane, there is a sign fixed to the wall. The sign has the name of the pub, "The Gardener's Arms" and the words "Real Ale Pub". Behind the name and words is the sign's picture. It shows a brick wall with an arched entrance to a garden. Sat in the middle of the entrance is the "gardener" - a cheery looking chap with moustache and bowler hat. He is wearing a shirt, tie and waistcoat and around his waist he has an apron that cover his turned-up trousers. Between his hob-nailed boots is a tankard of beer. To his right is a wheelbarrow that has a barrel of ale perched on top of it and behind it is a garden with greenhouse. There are four blacked-out areas on the picture that may be used for advertising the daily "specials".

The building is Grade II listed.
