It is a rarity to see a Woodmen of the World headstone with a death date in the 21st century. This modern, flat, gray granite headstone has the family name, "Witherspoon", across the top, decorated with flowers. On each side, each individual has an open book, with their important information:
Ethel M.
Jan. 13, 1921
Dec. 6, 1999
Waldo M.
April 28, 1919
Jan. 13, 2008
A cross with "Nurse" inside of it at the upper left corner identifies Mrs. Witherspoon as a nurse, while the Woodmen of the World emblem is in the upper right, identifying Mr. Witherspoon as the Woodmen of the World member. Between their open books is a heart, with "Married April 28, 1939" inside, and a ribbon below that says "Together Forever".
