This three-story structure is the only Victorian
hotel of its era still located at its original site.
The brick-veneered facings, galvanized iron
columns, and plate-glass fronts make it one of
the most significant Victorian-style buildings
in the district. In 1901, the Helping Hand
moved in and served as the home for many
community relief services."
