UPDATE: 7 June 2020: Now it's Sam's Southern Kitchen. 50's Diner 2801 S May Ave. Just north of SW 29th St east of I-44. Just like it says, it's a old time, 1950s cafe/diner. Decor is old movies, old cars, old music.

Looking for a diner that allows smoking? the 50's Cafe has a separate smoking section. The burgers come off the grill bare, and there is a "burger bar" with the fixin's, so make it your way. I found the burger a little dry. They also have the requisite chicken fried steak. Wait staff is helpful, courteous and fast. Good food at a reasonable price.
