The Avenida Sá Carneiro is the main road through Quarteira running the length of the built-up area back from the beach. There are junctions with other important roads and this roundabout is the junction with Avenida de Ceuta.
There are several jets here, both upwards pointing, six, and angled towards the centre, arranged in groups of six around the outside. The whole is surrounded by a low wall and a hedge of evergreen shrubs, possibly laurel genus.
