Založení hasicského sboru v Mutenicích nebylo snadnou záležitostí, povedlo se to až na tretí pokus. Psalo se datum 13. brezna 1892. Život tohoto sboru nebyl už v samých pocátcích jednoduchy. Stejne tak v letech C.K. Rakouska- Uherska po prelomu století, provázely sbor ekonomické a spolecenské problémy. Svého rozkvetu dosáhl sbor, jak je známo z pametí, v letech první republiky.
Vlastne až do padesátých let byl tento sbor vždy samostatný a svobodný spolek zakládající se na dobrovolnosti.
To až období budování reálného socialismu zaradilo tuto složku pod státní správu jako "požárníky". Teprve v roce 1990 po revoluci z listopadu 1989 se postupne s uplatnováním demokracie vracel Sbor dobrovolných hasicu puvodní vztah k samospráve obce.
Hasici 2Jedním z nejduležitejších faktu dosavadní cinnosti sboru je úzký vztah a návaznost na predstavenstvo obce.
Obec darovala pozemek kde byla postavena hasicská zbrojnice. Nákup první stríkacky, hasicského náradí, plátna na hasicské stejnokroje a další nezbytnosti vždy zajištovala obecní pokladna.
Sbor hasicu porádá ruzné akce, jako pro verejnost (souteže v hasicském sportu, ukázky hasicské techniky a práce) tak pro své cleny (táboráky, zájezdy, ...).
Clenskou základnu tvorí 48 clenu, z toho 13 žen a 10 detí.
Základní cinností a poslání sboru je dobrovolnuá a nezištná pomoc pri živelných událostech a pohromách, které mnohé nás už potkaly a ješte mohou potkat.
