"Dallmann started its operation in 1954. It is the brainchild of Guenther Dallmann who opened his pastry shop in St. Gilgen, Austria. He began by offering only three types of pastries all of which were baked fresh daily. Dallmann was very particular about attention to detail and used only the freshest ingredients in preparation of his pastries and this led to his shop becoming a well known place amongst locals. Guenther's daughter Sylvia and her husband Franz gave further impetus to the business and turned Dallmann Confections into a world renowned business.
People from all across the world travel to Dallmann to get a taste of the delicious confections prepared here. One variety that has really captured the imagination of people is the Mozart Travel Cake named in honor of the musical genius Mozart's and his travels across Europe. Franz and Sylvia's daughter Isabella Valencia has given a new dimension to the family business by opening an outlet in San Diego, California that specializes in exquisite artisan chocolates.
