"The Catatonk Baptist Church was established in 1861 as the Union Church of Catatonk. Later it was a Methodist church until 1852 when the Methodist circuit dropped it according to the Wyoming conference. However it became the Union Church of Catatonk again in 1906 and in 1909 was listed as the Methodist Church of Catatonk. Before long it became a Baptist church which it remains today."
