"It is also said that Little Hattie Brearley died from being dragged by a horse down the road. After her death they named the road in which she had been dragged to death after her. This is how Brearley Hill Road received the name. It is also said that a monument once was placed next to her headstone with the story of her death. It is unknown what happened to the memorial monument."
