The British History website mentions the cemetery:

A Roman Catholic cemetery was laid out south-west of London Road in 1861 and enlarged before 1903; the lychgate and Gothic stone cross were designed by C. A. Buckler in 1901 and the lodge by the estate architect W. Heveningham in 1903.
