The clock face is set in to a square metal surround that is painted brown around the edge. The rest of the surround is painted black. The round clock face is set in to the centre of the surround. The hour and minute marks appear to be painted directly on to the face and are gold in colour. The hands are a basic design with fleur-de-lys pointers and are coloured gold.
