The Texas Trail of Fame website (see link) has a depiction of Mr. Kleberg, as well as this short biography:
The son of Prussian immigrants who settled in Texas in the Republic’s first year, Kleberg earned his law degree from the University of Virginia in 1880 and then practiced law in Corpus Christi. When his client, King Ranch founder Richard King died in 1885, King's widow asked Kleberg to run the ranch. He married their daughter Alice King and guided the ranch's growth to worldwide fame for 47 years.
