St Nicholas church was built in 1380 but in the 15th century was split in two. The part to the west, including the tower is still St Nicholas church whilst that to the east is known as Fitzalan Chapel. The font is just inside the church's entrance.

As you enter St Nicholas, the Font is just in front of you. This octagonal Font, made of Sussex marble is probably the oldest relic in the church, being of late decorated style, and is commensurate with the building.
