The McCluggage Bridge is also known as the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge, so named after three ironworkers lost their lives while working on bridge renovations in April of 2000.
The McCluggage Brige is actually two spans, both of the cantilevered through truss design. The newer span, the eastbound bridge carries two lanes of traffic. The original span, the westbound bridge carries three lanes of traffic. The eastbound bridge was built in 1948. In 9182, the westbound bridge was built.
