This fine and scenic stations of the cross leads from the medieval church St. Marien in the Old town up to St. Erasmus, a chapel on the castle hill.
The stations of sandstone, donated by Victorine Charvin and inaugurated in 1858, are equipped with reliefs in terracotta and show the Passion of Christ.
Mrs. Charvin spends also the Erasmus Chapel on Castle Hill new drawings, a chapel that rises since the end of the 17th century over a Romanesque crypt, the oldest monument of the city. Up here on the castle hill, the Hanseatic City Warburg is originated.
