We always try to find a Mexican restaurant in our travels, as there are none in the general area where we live.
We stopped in for lunch and ordered their enchilada combination plate with a tamale on the side.
They serve generous portions with lots of homemade chips and salsa.
"Esther’s Restaurant is Republic’s best spot for Mexican food, freshly made chips and salsa, burritos, chicken enchiladas, shredded-beef tacos, and stand-out carne asada. Esther’s has recently added a line of twelve gourmet burgers to their menu made from Foresee Ranch beef (locally-raised, grass-fed, hormone- and antibiotic-free, Texas Longhorn cattle).
The tasty, meal-sized burgers are served on fresh baked buns from The Baker’s Stone Bakery, with generous sides of curly fries.
The restaurant has a separate, full-service bar, which carries an extensive selection of imported Mexican beers as well as several micro-brew beers from the Republic Brewing Company. They’re also set up to handle large groups.
