Pantages Theatre, Marquee, & Neon signage were inspired by the original Pantages Art Deco Theatre in Hollywood California. This replica theatre, features the "Horror Make Up Show" at Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida.
This building has all the elements of Art Deco characterized by rich colours, bold geometric shapes and lavish ornamentation.
"The Pantages Theatre, designed by architect B. Marcus Priteca, opened in 1930 as the last movie palace built by showman Alexander Pantages. It was an Art Deco masterpiece, inside and out. For decades, it operated as a reserved-seat, roadshow movie theater. From 1949 to 1959, it also hosted the Academy Awards ceremonies, including the first televised ceremony in 1952. In 1977, the Pantages was converted into a live theater for big Broadway musicals, such as a revival of West Side Story. " Text Source: (
