THE STATION IS NEAR THE HIGHEST POINT OF A TREE COVERED NORTH-SOUTH RIDGE, ABOUT 9 MILES NORTHWEST OF WHEELING, 3 MILES SOUTH OF MT. PLEASANT AND ON THE PROPERTY OF MR. W. F. DENNIS. IT IS IN A SMALL CLEARING, 122 FEET WEST OF USC&GS STATION MT PLEASANT RESET. THE MONUMENT PROJECTS 2.2 FEET AND THE DISK IS STAMPED MT PLEASANT ASTRO ECC 1968.
STATION IS REACHED FROM THE JUNCTION OF U.S. HIGHWAY 40 AND STATE HIGHWAY 7 IN BRIDGEPORT, OHIO. GO NORTH ON STATE HIGHWAY 7 FOR 2.1 MILES TO THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAY 647 IN MARTINS FERRY. TURN LEFT AND GO WESTERLY ON STATE HIGHWAY 647 FOR 5.6 MILES TO A LANE ROAD AND THE HOME OF MR. R. A. DENNIS ON THE LEFT. TURN LEFT AND GO SOUTHERLY ON THE LANE ROAD FOR ABOUT 300 FEET AND THE END OF TRUCK TRAVEL. TURN RIGHT AND PACK WEST AND SOUTHWEST PASSING TO THE SOUTH OF THE DENNIS HOME AND UPHILL TO THE HIGHEST POINT OF THE HILL AND USC&GS STATION. CONTINUE DOWNHILL AND WEST FOR 122 FEET TO THE USACE STATION.
