We spotted the sign to the Winlaw Regional and Nature Park while on the search for a long forgotten cemetery. From Hwy. 6 turn on Winlaw Bridge Road and turn right on Slocan River Road, continue about 600 metres turn right to parking area.

Dated plaques and signs show up at the most unexpected times and places. This was no exception. Enjoying our walk to the park at the end of the boardwalk, we noticed several benches, and disappointed none were dedicated. The sign is attached to one of the supports for the boardwalk.
Winlaw Regional and Nature Park is located on the west shore of the Slocan River. It is comprised of 22.7 acres, the park includes restrooms, change rooms, a covered pavilion with fire pit, picnic areas, playground, beach and system elevated boardwalk that take you into several wooded areas of the park. There is great fishing in the nearby area.
