Edwin Warner Park traces its roots to 1927 when Edwin Warner began amassing land for the local Park Board. Over the next 18 years he managed to assemble a 600-plus acre package of land.

In 1957 the area east of Old Hickory Road was renamed Edwin Warner Park in his honour.

The park consists of vast expanses of greenbelt, forests, streams etc. There are biking and walking trails throughout.
