"The plant began service in 1928, with additions in 1960. It features an impressive dam – 2,800 feet long and 86 feet high – that forms Lake Tillery, as well as flood-control gates. Its four generators are capable of producing a total of 87 megawatts.
By regulating the river’s flow, the Tillery plant also helps to increase the efficiency of the Blewett Plant downstream."
