DE: Die Brexbachtalbahn wurde 1884 eröffnet und ging von Engers am Rhein hinauf in den Westerwald nach Siershahn und weiter nach Au an der Sieg. Die ganze Strecke war 74km lang und führte durch 7 Tunnel.
1989 wurde der Personenverkehr und 1994 der Güterverkehr eingestellt.
Der Moosbachtunnel ist 85m lang und einer der 7 Tunnel der Strecke.
