There is a simple grave marker with the name of either MR Beth Merritt or M R Beth Merritt. Located the name referenced both ways. However, no information about this individual was found. MR Beth Merritt died in 1907. His gravesite perimeter is surrounded by a wood fence. Tall trees keep vigil over the grave. The area is kept rustic but maintained. There is a sign on the dirt road indicating the location with a path leading to the grave. Curlew, Washington begins in 1896, with the establishment of a general store that serviced miners, railroads men, traders, and native Americans. Currently there are about 900 residents.
