Perry House - Monterey, CA - Signs of History on Waymarking.com

The sign reads:

"PERRY HOUSE

Victorian home built in 1860 by
whaling captain Mathew Perry and
his wife Mary de Mello Silva, of
Boston. The house remained in the'
until 1963. Restored in 1967."

The house is now apparently rented out for weddings and private parties...see (visit link)
