Alexander Young built his log cabin in 1840, and he and his family lived there for nearly 4 decades. The hospitable family entertained overnight guests, hosted worship services, and for a short time the cabin served as a post office and school. In 1912 the cabin was donated to the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the home was moved to its present location in Sunset Park. The cabin, an example of life in the late 1800’s, is open by appointment.
