A very weathered cut benchmark on the south west face, south angle, of a buttress of St Giles' church tower.
The Church of England parish church of Saint Giles on Church Road was designed by the Gothic Revival architect Ewan Christian and built in 1855.
The church is a plain Gothic building with a western tower.
