At 7 m. is the junction with unpaved Brayton Rd.
Left 0.2 m. on Brayton Rd. is the junction with John Mowry Rd.; right here to the Captain Joseph Mowry House (L), 0.3 m., a two-and-one-half-story clapboard structure with a one-story lean-to. Two brick chimneys rise from the ends of the gable roof; the house has two plain entrance doors. There is a cell-like compartment once used as slave quarters in the cellar of this old house (1701), and a wellsweep in the front yard.

Brayon Rd is paved today, where the turnoff to John Mowry Rd is located. While John Mowry Rd ispaved it is still narrow and uneven, as if they simply laid tar over the carriage and horse trail. The house is in great condition, which the owners appear to own horses. Newer homes have been built around the property. Bryant University is just down the street, however traffic can not to pass onto the university property via John Mowry Rd, since the road simply ends, At one time I am sure this open.
