In Buckland, at the end of the iron truss bridge over the Deerfield River, is the Buckland Town Hall.
The building is located at the intersection of State Street, and Williams Street, and near Bridge Street, which is carried by the iron truss bridge. The building is a wooden structure 2 1/2 stories tall, with a peaked shingle roof. In front is a flag pole that is a veterans memorial.
Buckland is a small community of 1,900 people. It is governed as a New England town with an open Town Meeting (citizens directly attend and vote, vs. some kind of representation system). The town has a cutlery factory (though most of the manufacturing facilities have moved elsewhere), and a small trolley museum.
