In Buckland, about a half mile south of the center of Shelburne Falls, is the Shelburne Falls Trolley Museum, which has a freight depot on its property.

The museum is located at the end of a driveway off Ashfield Street. As you enter the property, the depot is on the left.

The building is a wooden clapboard structure with a slate shingle roof that extends beyond the sides of the building. It is currently painted cream and brick red.

The museum web site has a page and many pictures about this depot. It was probably built in 1867 by the Troy and Greenfield Railroad when it came through the town. The location became a railroad yard. Over the years, the ownership passed on to the Fitchburg Railroad, then Boston & Maine, Guilford Transportation, and Pan Am Railways.

In 1963, Blasburg Trucking bought it and used it as a warehouse for their business. The station was on the property bought by the trolley museum in 2004. The museum has since been renovating the building.
